Day 3 - February 20
Scripture Reading
Isaiah 55:6-7 (NLT)
6 Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near.
7 Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.
Prayer Focus
For a responsive heart that seeks the Lord earnestly, turns from sin sincerely, and rests in His abundant mercy.
My Lord and my God, you see my heart, and my desires are not hidden from you. I am encouraged by my happy experience of your goodness, to present myself before you, notwithstanding I know myself unworthy of the least favour from you. I am ashamed when I think how long I have lived a stranger, even an enemy to you, taking upon me to dispose of myself, and to please myself in the main course of my life. But I now unfeignedly desire to return unto you, and, renouncing all interest and propriety in myself, to give myself up entirely to you; I would be yours, and only yours forever. But I know I am nothing, and can do nothing of myself; and if ever I am yours, I must be wholly indebted to you for it. O my God, my Saviour, my Sanctifier, do not turn your face away from a poor soul who seeks you; but as you have kindled in me these desires, so confirm, increase, and satisfy them. Do not reject that poor gift which I would make of myself unto you, but teach me so to make it, that it may be acceptable in your sight. Lord, hear me, help me, and show mercy unto me, for Jesus Christ’s sake.
